Frederick was born in 1883 in Highbury, Islington, the son of Frederick James Rockall and Clara Collings.

He died in 1918 in Somme, France.[Note 1]

His wife was Ethel Tavendale, who he married in 1910 in Thornton Heath. Their only known child was Recent Roy (1911-?).
