Notes for Silas CRANE
JP in Stafford at least 1813 to 1820. Member of the State Legislative Council 1811 and 1814. Docket from 1813 to 1816 appears in Hist Mag of NJ ( [774]). Only his son Silas A. appears in the same cemetary Silas and Zipporah are buried in.[ [96]]

He was the tax collector for the district of Egg Harbor, and two of his account books survive from 1779 and 1801. (http://www.jerseyhistory.org/findingaid.php?aid=0565)
