General Notes: Alexander was accussed and pleaded guilty to breaking into the Grocer's shop of Mr Andrew Crabbie in Canongate, Edinburgh on the 24th January 1832. He admitted to stealing 40 shillings in coper money, a piece of cheese ands also of being habit and repute a thief. He was sentenced at Edinburgh High Court of Judiciary on the 19th November 1832 to seven years transportion taking into account his age.
