He MORRILL, ISAAC, ROXBURY, br. of Abraham,

said to have been b. 1588, came in the Lion, arr. 16 Sept. 1632, bring.

w. and prob. Sarah and Catharine; freem. 4 Mar. 1633, ar. co. 1638, by

w. Sarah, had here, Isaac, b. 26 or 7 Nov. 1632, d. in Jan. foll.; Isaac,

again, 5 Feb. d. young; Hannah, 12 or 16 Sept. 1636; Eliz. May

1638, d. same mo.; Abraham, 6 June 1640, wh. d. at 21 yrs. a "hopeful

young man," says Eliot in his ch. reg. and the f. d. 20 Dec. 1661.

Sarah m. 1646, Tobias Davis, and d. 23 Jan. 1649; Catherine m. 1

Aug. 1647, John Smith; and Hannah. m. 5 Nov. 1652, Daniel Brewer, His will print. in Geneal. Reg. XI. 35, made a few days bef. his d. gave

est. to w. for her life, names ch. John, Isaac, Francis, Mary, and

Abraham Smith, and Sarah Davis. His wid. d. 9 Jan. 1673, aged 72.

Charlestown, freem. 1682, of wh. it is very vexatious to be

unable to tell more than that he was prob. br. of the first Abraham. "61 He "ISAAC1 MORRILL, of Roxbury, bro. of (1) ABRAHAM,1 b. ab. 1587; m. Sarah (???). "Isack Murrill" took the oath, June 22, 1632, bef. sailing. "Isack Morrell" is on the passenger list of the ship "Lion," which arrived at Boston, Sept. 16, 1632. His wife and daus. Sarah and Katherine prob. came with him, though their names are not on the list. He was free., 1633; member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Boston, 1638; member 1st chh., Roxbury; constable, 1659; one of the four richest men in Roxbury; wrote a fine hand, as shown by his signatures, "Isaac Morrell." His tombstone, corner Washington and Eustis streets, bears this inscription: "Isaac: MORIL: AGED: 74: YEAR: DYED: 18: 10: 1661:" Will Dec. 15, 1661; Jan. 23, 1661-2, when witnesses testified that they heard him make declaration on the 19th; inv. oe683. The "coussine Isaac Morrell" to whom he gave his "Anvile," "Smiths Tooles," etc., was prob. his nephew, (2) Isaac2 Morrill, then 15 yrs. old [G. R., 1857, pp. 35-6]. Wid. Sarah d. Jan. 9, 1673, aged 72. Their sons all d. without issue, but there are many descendants through their three daus., whose married names were Smith, Brewer, and Davis[Sv]."289 He "Isaac Morrill, the elder brother of Abraham Morrill, died in Roxbury in 1661. Rev. John Eliot thus records it:--"1661--Moneth 10, day 21 Isaac Morell an aged brother." He left no Will and Tobias Davis and Sarah (Clements) Morrill testified that they had heard Isaac Morrell upon the 19-10m-1661 [19 Dec. 1661] declare it to be his mind "to give unto his coussine [nephew] Isaac Morrell his Anvile & all his Smiths Tools & Instrumts." And John Smith, Daniel Brewer, and Sarah Morrell testified that "they heard Isaac Morrell ye day before his death declare it to be his minde & will to dispose of his wearing apparell as followeth vizt:--His best Cloake unto his grand child, Sarah Davis: one of his two best suites to his brother Abraham Morrell, eithr his Leathr or his Cloath Suite. The residue of his Cloathes to be divided betweene his two Sonnes." "290
