William Butram

WILLIAM BUTRAM was born around 1735 in Baltimore County, Maryland. His father was also named William, (b. 05/16/1706). William and his wife Margaret (last name unknown) married in Lancaster County, Virginia, possibly in 1755. The exact date that they moved to Rowan County, North Carolina, is unknown, but records document William as being there by the 1750s. By 1793 he had moved to Iredell County, North Carolina. William Buttram, Junior, had been born by 1759, and William I was now using the title William Senior. There may have been as many as 13 children by William and his wife Margaret.
