What's New on Bev's Genealogy Page

Update for August 10, 2006
It has been a really long time since I dealt with my genealogy or this website. I hope to get back to it soon. I recently moved from one place to another and it forced me to confront some of the accumulation of papers and such involved with my family history files which have been neglected. I put an update to the contact me page.

Update for September 27, 2004
I am still working on the website revision, and I have started a research journal/web log.

Update for August 15, 2004
I have not worked on my genealogy for about a year. I've just let life get in the way. But I'm feeling a renewed interest in it, so I am starting a research journal/web log and working on an updated version of this website with the genealogical information I have compiled over the past few years.

Update for September 27, 2001
Well, I have had a short break from the site but I am back now.
Some changes I have made include changing mailing list providers, we were previously using listbot but they no longer offer free services so now we are using mailing list provider. Also I have checked to make sure all my links work and added and deleted a few.

Update for May 28, 2001
Today, I have added 17 older pictures of family on my mom's side. These include pictures of my great-grandmother Angelina, who I never met. I was able to scan these pictures when I visited my grandmother on vacation last week in Chicago. I hope to add pictures from the trip next week.

Update for May 8, 2001
On May 5, 2001 I redid the whole navigation bar to make getting around this page a little easier.
I have also decided, based on what I see from the WorldConnect site, that I will NOT be adding Family Group Sheets to this site for a while. Family Group Sheets can be easily obtained through my gedcom file. I hope you will enjoy them there.

Updating my GEDCOM
I have added the first of a couple of gedcom files to the World Connect site for downloading. This update is my mom's side.
You can search download, or print out the BRYCHEL family database. This will include all Brychels starting with mom and all related families such as Nawrocki's, Koralewski's, Sikorski's, etc.
I also went to http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com and entered brychel1954 in the place were it said jump to a database. To just list everybody click on no surnames or if you know whick name you are looking for then you can click on the corresponding letter.

Those of you who wish to get updates to my gedcom file (and where it ends up being posted) should definitely subscribe to my list. I will post the file here as well. I cannot answer any merging questions, sorry. I just don't know the answers yet. Expect an update sometime memorial day weekend after I have visited my family on vacation in Chicago.

Census Look-Ups
I live in Philadelphia and have fairly easy access to the regional branch of the National archives located here. I don't mind doing one or two lookups a week for people who need a hand.

Contact me if you'd like me to do a one for you at [email protected]. Please put REQUEST FOR LOOKUP in the subject line so I will look at it right away. Tell me what you are looking for (or who) and what year(s) of the census you need. I will email you back to say when I will be doing it.

If you like, you can click on this link to the NARA Philadelphia office and see what they have.

This page was created over the weekend of March 9 - 12, 2001, because I recently had a number of big breakthroughs in my research and needed a way to get the word out fast.
It was launched on Monday, March 19, 2001, which is St. Joseph's Day. I chose this day to honor my Polish heritage. St. Joseph's day is to Poles what St. Patrick's Day is to the Irish. Kind of a Polish Pride Day!
