JACOB SCHREIBER was born Jan. 3, 1780 and died Dec. 25, 1865. His wife, Eve Catherine LEISENRING, was born Oct. 3, 1786 and died May 31, 1866. This daughter, Salome, married Judge Jacob DILLINGER.
PETER LEISENRING, son of Conrad and Sibilla LEISENRING was born Feb. 28, 1770, and died Feb. 25, 1833. He married Susanna SCHAD, who was born May 1, 1774, and died May 17, 1837. They are buried at Sunbury Pa.

On 17 May 1790, Jacob purchased a 600 acre tract of land extending from Pine Creek to Deep Creek and from Rausch Gap westward almost as far as the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery at Sacramento. Jacob, the pioneer settler of what is now Hubley Township, then Pine Grove Township, crossed the Blue Mountains and established a permanent settlement. A long line of his descendants have since lived in the area.
Sailed to Philadelphia aboard the "NEPTUNE", landing on 24 Sep 1751. The ship was under the command of Capt. John Mason, and came from Rotterdam by way of Cowes, England.
