CONRAD LEISENRING was born June 29, 1727, in Hildburghausen, Germany. He married Sibilla VEIT in 1755 and in 1766 settled on a tract of land along the Lehigh river in Whitehall township. He died August 14, 1781, and is buried in Egypt churchyard. His children were Anna Maria, wife of John GROB, Elizabeth, wife of Jacob HERMAN, Conrad, John Sebastian, Eva Christina, wife of Henry SHETTEL, Andrew and Peter

CONRAD LEISENRING, son of Conrad and Sibilla LEISENRING, was born Nov. 6, 1759 and died Feb. 10, 1824. He married, Oct. 7, 1783, Catherine GROB, who was born Aug. 31, 1759, and died Sept. 11, 1828.
He left surviving eight children, Daniel, Eva Catharina, wife of Jacob SCHREIBER, Barbara, wife of Daniel SCHREIBER, Peter, John, Conrad, Maria wife of Conrad BEIL and Salome, wife of Solomon TROXELL.

PETER LEISENRING, son of Conrad and Sibilla LEISENRING was born Feb. 28, 1770, and died Feb. 25, 1833. He married Susanna SCHAD, who was born May 1, 1774, and died May 17, 1837. They are buried at Sunbury Pa.

On 17 May 1790, Jacob purchased a 600 acre tract of land extending from Pine Creek to Deep Creek and from Rausch Gap westward almost as far as the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery at Sacramento. Jacob, the pioneer settler of what is now Hubley Township, then Pine Grove Township, crossed the Blue Mountains and established a permanent settlement. A long line of his descendants have since lived in the area.
Sailed to Philadelphia aboard the "NEPTUNE", landing on 24 Sep 1751. The ship was under the command of Capt. John Mason, and came from Rotterdam by way of Cowes, England.
