Wife of William Reardon is Dead
Mannsville, July 18 -- Mrs. Edna G Reardon, 67, wife of William Reardon, retired feed store manager and turkey farmer, of this village, died last evening at 6 as she arrived by ambulance at the house of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after suffering a heart attack at her home.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Mannsville Methodist church with Rev. Miles L Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery. Friends may call at the Piddock funeral home, Adams, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm Tuesday. Mrs Reardon is survived by her husband; four sons, Wallace and Clarence of this village, William, Jr., of Ellisburn and Kenneth of Adams; three daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Irene) Bettinger of Adams; Mrs. Hugh (Delia) Birdslow of Sandy Creek; and Mrs. Robert (Marlene) Ferguson of Clayton.

A son, Richard, was killed when struck by a car in Mannsville, Nov 8, 1957. Mrs Reardon is also survived by 11 grandchilren, 5 sisters, Mrs Guy (Julia) Miller of Pierrepont Manor, Mrs. Wilfred (Leona) Maxam of Fulton, Mrs Gerald (Harriett) Gould of Depauville, Mrs. Lucy Hartman of Homer, and Mrs Hermon (Dorothy) Dorr, LaFargeville; and a brother, Lyle Hartman, Chaumont.

She was born Sept 25, 1892 on Pillar Point, a daughter of Jay and Addie Mae Wallace Hartman. She attended Chaumont area schools. She was married Nov 25, 1909, to Mr Reardon by Rev. George Ernst Methodist minister, at the home of her parents.

The couple lived in Chaumont, Sandy Creek, and Pierrepont Manor before coming to Mannsville in 1926. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Thanksgiving day.

William J Hartman, Native of Chaumont, Dies suddenly
Dexter, Oct 16.-- William J Hartman, 54, native of Chaumont, died suddenly at 12 pm SAturday in Syracuse of a heart atack as he was leaving work at the Crucible Steel comnpany. He was found by a fellow employee in the truck that he was abot to drive home.

The body was removed to the Perl B Johnson funeral parlors in Dexter, Sunday and it will be moved late Monday afternoon to the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Floyd Kitto, Dexterm, where the funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2. Rev. Kenneth D Jones, pastor of Dexter Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be made in Depauville Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Ruby Randall; three sons, Aaron, Orris and Morris, all of Syracuse; his father, Jay Hartman, of Depauville; six sisters, Mrs. William (Edna) Reardon, Mannsville, Mrs. Guy (Julia) Miller, Pierrepont Manor, Mrs. Wilfred (Leona) Maxam, Fulton, Mrs. Lucy Lear, Cortland, Mrs Gerald (Harriett) Gould, Depauville, Mrs. Herman (Dorothy) Dorr, Clayton; one brother, Lyle of Depauville and six grandchildren.

Mr. Hartman was born in Chaumont, Aug 30, 1896, a son of Jay and Addie Wallace Hartman. He lived in Chaumont until he was 14 when he moved to a farm on the Chaumont-Depauville road. On May 24, 1917, he married Miss Ruby Randall of Three Mile Bay.

For a time they lived in Mexico, Pierrepont Manor and Mannsville before moving to Syracuse where they have lived for the past 22 years. Mr. Hartman had been employed as a crane operator with the Crucible Steel company for 22 years. At one time he was a member of the Masonic lodge at Depauville and the Odd Fellows lodge at Mexico.

Town Barn Worker, 67, Dies in Auto
Clayton - A. Herman Dorr, 67, underbluff Road, LaFargeville, Route 1, a maintenance employee of the Town of Clayton, was stricken ill and died while sitting in a car in the yard of the town barns at Depauville Tuesday, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies investigated.

The funeral will be Friday ate 2pm at the Cummings Funeral Home, Rev. Durward K Winer officiating. Burial will be in Depauville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday.
He is survived by his widow, children, Mrs. Dorr & 8 eight children... Born on Grindstone Island Oct. 17, 1907, son of Alfred and Margaret Turcott Dorr, he attended schools in Binghamton and the Town of Clayton. He married Dorothy Hartman March 5, 1933, at Copenhagen, Rev. Frank Brown officiating.

A farmer most of his working life, he operated farms in the Towns of Ellisburg, Cape Vincent, and Clayton, returning to the Town of Clayton in 1958 and operating a farm here.

He was also a carpenter and had worked with the [?]ane Construction Co., during the construction of Route 81.

Dorothy Dorr Dies in Alexandria Bay at 81
Depauville
Dorothy Dorr, 81, Underbluff Road, died late Monday afternoon at Edward John Noble hospital - Samaritan, Alexandria Bay, where she had been a patient since Dec. 20. She had been in ill health since summer.

The funeral will be private. A memorial service will be held in spring pending arrival of famiuly. Spring burial will be in Depauville Cemetery.

Arrangements are with T R Jetty Funeral home, Clayton.
Memorial donations may be made to the Clayton Volunteer Ambulance Fund. Suvriving are five daughters and two sons and 1 brother, Lyle Hartman.
A Daughter Lyla, A, died in July 1993. Two brothers, six sisters, a granddaughter and a grandson also died previously.
Born Aug 7, 1914, in the town of Lyme, daughter of Jay and Addie Mae Wallace Hartman, she attended area schools and married A. Herman Dorr on March 5, 1933, in Copenhagen, with the Rev. Frank Brown officiating. Mr. Dorr died Nov 12, 1974.
Mrs Dorr was a housewife and her husband was a farmer for a number of years.

50 years Chaumont -- Mr. and Mrs. Lyle R Hartman, RD 1, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 21. The couple will be honored at an open house from 12:30 to 5 pm Sept. 18, at the Depauville Fire Hall. Mr. Hartman, son of the late Jay and Addie Hartman, and Olah M Dodge, daughter of the late John and Flora Dodge, were married Sept 21, 1938, at the bride's home on the Depayuville St. Lawrence Road, with Rev. Royal B. Fishbeck, pastor of the Clayton Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating. Attnedants were Grace Burgess and William Schnauber. Mrs. Hartman worked at Frink Sno-Plows, Clayton for approximately 16 years. She is also a member of the ORder of the Eastern Star 125, Depauville, and Depauville Valley View Rebekah Lodge 304. Mr. hartman was retired from Frink Sno-Plows Nov. 30, 1983. The couple has three children and six grandchildren.

Depauville -- Lyle R Hartman , 79, Old Town Springs Road, died at 3:20 am Wednesday at his home.
He was a farmer at Depauville and retured after 25 years as a receiving clerk at Frink Sno-Plow. He was a former member of Depauville Masonic Lodge, Depauville Grange and Depauville Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge.

Born Aug 8, 1917, in the town of Clayton, son of Jay and Addie Wallace Hartman, he attended rural schools.

He married Olah Mae Dodge on Sept 21, 1938, in the town of Clayton at her family's home with the Rev. Royal B Fishbeck, then pastor of the Clayton Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, a daughter, six grandchildren, three great-grandhildren, and nieces and nephews.

Nine siblings died before him.
A memorial service will be at the family's convenience. The body will be cremated. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with T R Jetty Funeral Home, Clayton.
