The following obituary for Mrs. Loleta Ruth (Sexton) Edgerton was published in the Steuben Courier on Monday, April 16, 2006:

 

“NAPLES – Loleta Ruth (Sexton) Edgerton of Naples passed away at the Steuben County Health Care Facility in Bath on Saturday, April 15.  She was 94.

 

Mrs. Edgerton was born on August 23,1911 in Hornell, the daughter of Lester and Marcia (Keeler) Sexton.  She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Arnold; son, Ronald; grandson, Alan; and great granddaughter, Jillian, all of Naples.

 

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patrice Edgerton of Naples; grandchildren, Cheryl Northrup and Ronald Edgerton of Naples, Lee Edgerton of California., and Chris Edgerton of Texas; a sister, Marilyn Murphy of Bath; 11 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at the Baird-Moore Funeral Home in Naples where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Naples Fire Department or Naples Ambulance, P.O. Box 671, Naples, 14512.”
