David Clifton Evans, also known as "Little Dave" or just "L.D." was the first male child born to Dave Evans and Rosie Tooten Evans.  He was born on January 7, 1875 in the Union Community of Lee County, Mississippi.  He grew up on his father's farm there with a number of other brothers and sisters and close double-first cousins.
