Mrs. Annie Maude Smith
Huntingdon-- Services for Mrs. Annie Maude Smith, 71, were today at First
United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dossie Wheatley officiating. Burial was
in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, a retired educator, died Sunday night at Baptist Hospital of
Huntington after a long illness.
She was a native of Carroll County, a member of First United Methodist
Church and taught school more that 40 years, retiring in 1977 as librarian at
Huntingdon High School.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph Smith: a daughter, Mrs. Martha Williams of
Huntingdon; a sister, Rachel McKinney of McLemoresville; three brothers, James
Williams of McKenzie, John Williams of Memphis and Billy O. Williams of
McLemoresville; and two grandsons.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge.
