L. Marvin Cupples, PINSON

Funeral services for L. Marvin Cupples, age 94, will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek, TN. Mr. Cupples died Thursday, December 22, 2005.

He was born June 28, 1911 and reared in Chester County, the son of the late John and Mary Frances Thomas Cupples. He and his parents moved to Madison County around 1940. He was married to Clara D. Robertson of Henderson in 1942. He had farmed most of his life and began work at the Tennessee Forestry Division at Pinson in the early 60's and retired in the mid 80's. He had lived at Pinson since 1958.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Frances Cupples, his beloved wife, Clara Cupples; four brothers, Rasp, Kenny, Atlas and George Cupples; and two sisters, Ollie Brook and Dean Wyatt.

He is survived by three daughters, Wynnie Robertson of Jackson, Betty Carnell of Pinson, and Frances Newsom and husband Willie of Beech Bluff; and one son, L. Wayne Cupples of Pinson; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Terry; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Casey Funeral Home after 4:00 PM on Friday.
