72. George W. JARVIS was born in 1819 in Tennessee. He died in Jun 1850 in Kemper Co,MS. According to my Grandmother, Elijah Richmond Jarvis had a brother Will, sister Ann Jarvis who married a Jones, and a sister who married a Brown. According to the 1850 census, there were four children listed under George's widow Harriet, Comadore (aged 7M), Richard (aged 6M), Martha (aged 4F) and Harriet (aged 1F). He was married to Harriet DENTON on 6 Jan 1843 in Sumter Co,AL.

73. Harriet DENTON was born about 1824 in Alabama. Mrs. Walter B. Polk, 6025 SE Cornell, Bartlesville OK 74006 gave her maiden name as PERMENTER ("based on family traditions"), but the marriage bond indicates Harriet DENTON. Children were:

child i. Will JARVIS(4). Per Hazel J. Hurdle: "Tradition says that Elijah Richmond Jarvis had a brother named Will (who was the father of Judge Raymond Jarvis of Tupelo, MS), a sister who married a Brown in Kemper County, and another sister Ann Jarvis who married a Jones in Kemper County and was the mother of Ernest Jones, deceased."
