There is a large 4 1/2 ft. tall grave marker there with CROSBY on it,
over a concrete covered plot containing the remains of some Crosby family members.
John Eli and Ida Bell Crosby nee Harrison
and three of their children:
Sally Gordon Johnson nee Crosby
Charles Hamilton Crosby
Agnes Corine Mauldin nee Crosby
are buried there.
Laurel Grove Cemetery was established in 1850
on the grounds of the old Springfield Plantation
 
Three of the original headstones are retained within the Crosby plot at the Laurel Grove Cemetery
