Bradley Scroggins [30148, fb], 32, was arrested on charges of domestic violence and child abuse Friday morning. ... The deputy said he spoke with Scroggins, who walked out of the home on his own. ... The deputy said he asked if the child would like to 'leave with daddy' but the child said no repeatedly and the deputy grew suspicious. Scroggins was placed into protective custody as the deputy investigated. Investigators arrived on scene and spoke with Scroggins' wife. They reported learning there was a long history of domestic violence and child abuse in the home. They say Scroggins also smoked marijuana in front of his child on a regular basis. According to investigators, on March 12, Scroggins' wife said he hit her in the head with a bar stool. Deputies when the child ran to help her mom, Scroggins picked her up by the throat, while she was crying.
