Brenda Scroggins Sawyer - 03/23/98 SCROGGINS, I am looking for the burial place of my great great
grandfather Smith Scroggins. He died Oct. 8, 1863 from injuries received on Sept. 22, 1863 at
Chattanooga. He was with the 32nd Mississippi Infantry and died at Cleburnes Field Hospital. Sources
say he is listed in the Confederate Veterans Mazagine as being buried in a cemetery around Dalton.
Would love to be able to list in the geneaolgy where he is buried. It has become very important to me to
    find his final resting place.

Carol, My William A. was born Aug. 1850 in Lincoln County TN. Although I may be related to Scroggins in Ill, we have never been able to establish it. Sorry I can not be of any help as I have no information on that line of Scroggins.
