Seth & his brother Samuel Tubbs settled in Mass. prior to the Revolutionary War.

At that time and for many years they were the only ones of that name known to be in this country.

Both were married when the Revolutionary war broke out. Both enlisted & served during war. Samuel Tubbs returned from the war a Col. Seth Tubbs was with Gen Wolf a Quebec when that Gen was killed after the close of the war. Seth Tubbs returned to Mass., where he died.

His son named also Seth also was born in Mass Emigrated Jan 1800 to Ontario county New York and located on a farm where he died in the year 1858

Seth Tubbs was in Shays Rebellion acting with Shay in liberating prisonars who had been for many years in prison in North Amton for debt.
