Clara Elizabeth Barcus is the daughter of Otto Marion Barcus and Orpha Pearl Staples. She was born 9 June 1921 in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee. She died 1 January 2003 at age 81 in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee. She was buried 3 January 2003 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee.

On 1 July 1952, at age 31, she married Alvy Trueman Wyrick, who was age 34, in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee. He was born 30 May 1918. He died 1 July 1994 at age 76 in Germantown, Shelby, Tennessee. He was buried 4 July 1994 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee.
