Jeremiah (Jerry) Stallings was born in 1806 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. On 25 Feb 1829 he married Anna Bishop, daughter of Lawrence Bishop & Nancy Ann Stallings, in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. Anna was born about 1803 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. Jeremiah and Anna lived in Mt. Washington. In 1850 his brother Henry lived with them.     

In 1850, Jerry owned 50 acres improved land, 80 acres unimproved for a cash value of $910 and had $50 in farm implements. He owned 4 horses, 4 mules, 1 other cattle, 30 swine worth $200. He grew 30 bushels of wheat, 300 bushels of Indian corn, 300 bushels of oats, 150 bushels of Irish potatoes and made 50 lbs butter.  

Anna died sometime between 1870 and 1880. Jerry lived with his son Henry in 1880. He died sometime after 1880.

Jerry and Anna had the following children:

            i.     Elizabeth. Born in 1829.

Henry Stallings was born in Jan 1830. On 13 Apr 1858 he first married Mary Elizabeth Adams, in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. Born about 1840 in Wabash Co., Illinois. They lived in Mt. Washington and Henry was a farmer. They had 2 children: Sarah Eliza, born 12 Nov 1859 in Floyds Fork, Bullitt Co.; and P. Jeremiah, born 27 Oct 1863 and died on 24 Mar 1889, buried in Dawson Cemetery, Ft. Knox. Mary died before 1870.

On 28 Feb 1870 when Henry was 40, he second married Axey Thurman, daughter of Nicholas Sr. Thurman & Sarah Stallings, in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. Axey was born in Aug 1841 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky.

They lived in Shepherdsville and Henry farmed his own farm.  In 1920 Henry and Axey were living on Mt. Washington Road, Shepherdsville. Henry died on 25 Jan 1921. Axey’s death date is unknown for now.

Henry and Axey had one son:

John T. Stallings was born in Feb 1877. John T. married Minnie C. Pugh, daughter of John Henry Buckman Pugh & Amy Elizabeth Hough. Minnie was born on 10 Aug 1886 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. John and Minnie lived on a farm in Shepherdsville until about 1921 when they moved to a farm in Cox Creek, Bullitt Co. Minnie died on 5 Aug 1928.

John and Minnie had 6 known children: Edna M., Abbey Eugenia, Ernest, Elbert Franklin, Henry and John T.

Eliza Stallings was born in 1839. On 28 Jan 1869 she married H 'Hardin' CQ James, son of James & Mary. He was born about 1840 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. Hardin died in Bullitt Co., Kentucky in 1908. Eliza died in Bullitt Co., Kentucky in 1914. They had one child: Hardin R, born about 1873.
