2. Eliza FALLIN MINTER (Thomas) was born 1813. Eliza died before 1838.

She married John Hill MINTER in Upson County, Ga., 29 JUL 1830. License received 31 July 1830 by A.H. Brown.

He married Mary MORRIS Minter 14 JAN 1838. John died after 1883. John H. Minter was discharged as the administrator of the estate of Martha Morris, desc., 7 MAY 1883 in Upson County, Ga. Guardianship Papers Book A, page not recorded.

Eliza FALLIN Minter and John Hill MINTER had the following children:

child 8 i. Sarah Ann MINTER PEUGH was born about 1832. She married William Washington PEUGH in Upson County, Ga., 7 OCT 1846. William and Sarah were cousins.

William was born in Pike County, Ga. about 1827, but could have been born as late as 1830. He was the son of Asa PUGH and Olive MCGINTY Pugh Wooley.

William died after 1880. His body was interred after 1880 in Atwater, Upson County, Ga., Valley Grove Baptist Cemetery. He resided in Upson County, Ga. after 1846 at land lot 109, 10th District of Upson Co. (555 GMD).

William was the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Upson County, Ga.. HH 382 All members were born in Ga. Wm. W. Pugh, 30, farmer, $2,600 personal property. S., 25; S., female, 7; A., male, 5; N.J., male, 4; S.E., 6 mos., male.

William was a private in Co. I, 32nd Regiment of GA Vol. Infantry, Army of TN from Upson Co., the “Woodson Guards”. He was ounded at Morris Island SC on July 20, 1863 and was released from active duty in Greensboro, N.C., 26 APR 1865.

He resided in Pike County, Ga. after 1865.

William was the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Jackson County, Ala..

child 9 ii. Eliza MINTER was born about 1833.

child 10 iii. Lydia MINTER was born about 1833.

child 11 iv. Charlie J. MINTER sr was born about 1835. He married S. K. Catherine MINTER Peugh (or S. Katherine /C./ Minter Peugh?) before 1856. She was born in Georgia about 1835. She married Charles Joseph PEUGH 5 FEB 1854. Could he be the J.J. Minter who, with Charlie's brothers, was a private, Co. A., 13th Ga. Reg., Confederate Guard, Evans Brigade? The company fought with Gordon's Brigade, Army of North Carolina.

child 12 v. John T. MINTER was born about 1836. John was on a muster roll in Pike County, Ga., 8 JUL 1861. Private, Co. A., 13th Ga. Reg., Confederate Guard, Evans Brigade. The company fought with Gordon's Brigade, Army of North Carolina.
