     Charles W. Milslagle was born circa 1851 in Virginia.1,2,3,4 He was the son of John Milslagle and Ann (?).1 Charles, age 10, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Piedmont, Hampshire County, Virginia. John Millslagle household, 1870 U.S. Census, Piedmont Township, New Creek post office, Mineral County, West Virginia, population schedule, page 14, dwelling #85, family #102 Charles, age 30, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1880 Federal Census.7 Charles worked as a tinner. Millslagle household, 1880 U.S. Census, Piedmont, Mineral County, West Virginia, population schedule, enumeration district (ED) #34, sheet 3 (stamped 146c), dwelling #18, family #19 Charles died on 20 April 1890 in Mineral County, Virginia. Garner is unsure if this is the correct Charles because the ages are a year or two off but they are in the same place at the same time.8 He was about 39 years old. He is the 2nd great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
