Cornelis Pieterz Dalenberg (M) (22 December 1784 - May 1849) Relationship=Son of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg. Last Edited=3 Jul 2005 Cornelis Pieterz Dalenberg was born on 22 December 1784 in Groet, Noord Holland, Netherlands.1 He was the son of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg and Trijntje Dirksdr Vokers.1 Cornelis worked as a farmer.1 Cornelis married Trijnte Klaasdr Akkerman, daughter of Klaas Akkerman and Maartje Boender, on 10 October 1813 in Schoorl, Noord Holland, Netherlands. Follow the link to read additional information.1 Cornelis and Trijnte had at least 7 children. These children are Pieter, Trijnte, Klaas, Maartje, Antje, Pietertje and Cornelis.1 Cornelis was educated in 1814 at the Dutch Reformed Church in Holland.1 Trijnte died on 21 August 1825, leaving Cornelis a widower.1
On 28 April 1849, Cornelis and two grown sons, Klaas and Pieter, boarded the ship, Massachusetts of Boston in Le Havre, France. For an account written by one of his descendants see an article written by his 4th great-grandson.1 Cornelis died in May 1849 while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. I believe that he died from the Asiatic cholera that killed at total of 25 passengers. He was buried at sea.1 He was 64 old.
