     Dirk Pietersz Dalenberg was born on 16 June 1786 in Groet, Noord Holland, Netherlands. It appears that he was born 6 months after his father died.¹ He was the son of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg and Trijntje Dirksdr Vokers.¹ Dirk worked as a farmer.² Dirk died 9 May 1828 in Groet. According to Larry Moody, Dirk's brother, Cornelis, and his neighbor, Cornelis Gutker, went to the registrar to record Dirk's death.¹ He was 41 old.
