from this line. She is the aunt of Dr. Jack Fitch Mangum, now deceased, of San
Francisco, CA.

Handwritten notes of George Shuford, a brother to Mrs. Howe, noted that
Pressley Mangum enlisted at Ft. Moultrie on Oct 19, 1864 and was on Muster
Roll of Dec 31, 1964.

John married (1) Rachel (Mangum) FLETCHER about 1873. Rachel was born Aug 2 1849 in Richmond Co, NC. She died Oct 19 1879.

Henrietta was dau of Nelson Gibson and Aunt of Rachel.
Mrs. Howe noted that Henrietta, her grandmother, had triplets: infant sons and
daughter, and they are all buried in a common grave.

siblings: R.Fletcher Gibson (Uncle Fletcher); W.W. Gibson; Nelson W. Gibson;

mother of Rachel Fletcher, first wife of Pressley Mangum; (note this
conflicts with parentgs of Rachel Fletcher, given me earlier) Elizabeth who m
Webster, Mary who m Jim Mason, Margaret who m Will McKenzie; Sarah who m a
a Webster; and Henriette, second wife of Pressley Mangum; Harris; and
Archibazld Gibson.

I am uncertain which Nelson Gibson this is.
