Coulterville Woman Celebrates 86th Birthday
Mrs. Saveria Garbarino of Coulterville was honored on her 86th birthday anniversary, Sunday, oct. 15, at a chicken and ravioli dinner. Among those present were her seven children.
Enjoying the happy occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hensiek and Miss Una Garbarino, Sacramento; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dagy, Stockton; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Garbarino, and Miss Alice McCue, Modesto; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shubert, Santa Rosa; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferretti, Oakdale; Mr. and Mrs. R. Casad, Merced, and Gene Garbarino, Coulterville.

Funeral Friday for Saveria Garbarino In Coulterville
Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist church in Coulterville at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, for Mrs. Saveria Garbarino, 92, who died in her home there on Tuesday. Rev. John Robie will conduct the services, with burial in the Coulterville cemetery. Tiscornia and Ivers are in charge of arrangements.
Mrs Garbarino was a native of Italy. She had made her home in Coulterville for the past 84 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rose Martin, Modesto; Mrs. Josephine Dagg, Stockton; Mrs. Laviene Hensick, Sacramento; Mrs. Ann Shoobert, Coulterville, and the late Una Garbarino; two sons Eugene Garbarino, Coulterville, and Joseph Garbarino, Modesto; a sister, Mrs. Marie Arata of San Francisco; two brothers, Frank Feretti of Oakdale and Louis Feretti of Stockton; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

FAMILY REUNION TO HONOR PIONEER AT COULTERVILLE
A family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Garbarino in Coulterville over the last week-end in honor of Mr. A. Garbarino's 82nd birthday, on September 2nd. Those that came from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shoobert, Mrs. J. Martin and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garbarino and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Garbarino, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Feretti, Mr. and Mrs. G. Artra, Mrs. Lurline Miller, Miss Una Garbarino, and Messrs, Lewis Feretti, Willets and Eugenie Garbarino. Mr. Garbarino received many beautiful gifts.

ANGELO GARBARINO COUNTY PIONEER IS SUMMONED
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Coulterville for Angelo Garbarino, who died at a Sonora hospital last Sunday evening following an operation for bladder trouble.
Mr. Garbarino was 82 years and 5 months of age at the time of his death. He was born at Genoa, Italy, and came to the United States when he was 21 years of age. He had resided in Coulterville constantly for 61 years and had been a member of Coulterville Lodge No. 104, I. O. O. F. for the past 50 years. He was a rancher and gardener and devoted most of his life to this work.
Mr. Garbarino was an honest, upright citizen, a kind and devoted husband and father and a true friend. The true pioneer hospitality of his home will always be remembered by the many who were numbered among his friends and the friends of his family.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Saveria Garbarino; three sons, Joseph of Yosemite, Frank of Merced and five daughters - Mrs. Jerome Martin of Modesto, Mrs. H. W. Shoobert of Oakland, Mrs. F. T. Miller and Miss Una Garbarino of San Francisco.
The funeral services were conducted under the auspices of the Coulterville Lodge of Odd fellows, with interment in the public cemetery.
