Zelmer
William
Zelmer passed away at the home of his son John, at Warburg, Alberta
on Thursday, Oct. 16th, at the age of 88 years. Deceased was born
in Poland on March 17, the year 1853. Mr. Zelmer came to Canada
in the year 1905, and first settled at Ellerslie, then at Millet.
For the past seven years he has made his home with his son at
Warburg. He was a faithful member of the German Baptist Church
for many years, and gained many friends durring his long residence
in this country.
He
leaves to morn his passing, two sons, John and Reynold of Warburg;
five daughters, Mrs. Dreger of Long Beach Calif.; Mrs. Schilling,
of Vancouver, B.C.; Mrs. J. Scharff, Mrs. Robt. Hopkins and Mrs.
Grey, or Milleit. Also sixteen grandchildren, and one sister at
Tacoma, Wash. His wife and one son have pre-deceased him.
Funeral
services, conducted by the rev. Morris Johnson, were held at the
Millet United church Sunday afternoon last. Pallbearers were Messrs.
A.D. Arnholtz, R. Arnholtz, Ben Arnholtz, William Arnholtz, Sam
Smith and Henry Ohlman.
Beautiful
floral tributes were received from: The Family; Addie and Richard;
Mr. Roop, Bertha and Herbert; Mr. and Mrs. Vining; Millet Women's
Institute.

Mrs.
Martha Dreger of 838 1/2 East Anaheim Street, died March 22 in
a local hospital.
A
native of Russia, she came to the United States and to Long Beach
32 years ago.
Surviving
are the widower, Andrew Dreger; daughters, Anna Wanka, Harbor
City, and Mrs. Lucille Barton, Long Beach; son, Lieutenant Andrew
Dreger Jr., U.S. Army; half-sisters, Mrs. Alga Hopkins and Mrs.
Hattie Scarff, both of Millet, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Emma
Schilling, Vancouver, B.C., and three granddaughters.
Funeral
service will be saturday at 11 a.m. at Mottell's Chapel. Interment
will be in Sunnyside Cemetary.

Services
for Andrew Dreger Sr., 84. of 836 1/2 E. Anaheim St., who
died Friday, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mottel's Chapel
with interment in Long Beach Municipal Cemetary.
He
was born in Russia and came to Long Beach from San Francisco 55
years ago. He was a retired Carpenter.
Surviving
are two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Barton of Long Beach and Mrs. Fritz
Wanka of Huntington Beach; Son, Andrew Jr. of Long Beach; brother,
Adolph Dreger Jr. of Compton; sister, Mrs. Emily Travis of Palos
Verdes, and four granddaughters.
