Jacob Conrad(1) Photo was born on 3 Apr 1800 in Mietesheim, County of Niederbronn, District of Wissembourg,Bas Rhin, France.(2) (3) He was confirmed in 1814.(4) Jacob Conrad confirmed his baptismal vow when 14 years old under Pastor Gager. He died in Apr 1877 in Drakes Valley Rd, Loudonville, OH (farm blt 1876). .

Jacob Conrad had two wives - 1st wife has sizeable family, Katherine, [now in} Sidney, Caroline, two sons who were killed in the Civil War and are buried at Chattanooga, Tenn., John [ probably should be Jacob] and possibly others.

He was married to Elizabith Lowenguth (daughter of Jacob Lowenguth and Margareth Goelling) on 12 Oct 1828 in prob Mietesheim, County of Niederbronn, District of Wissembourg,Bas Rhin, France. (4)(5) "Our Children's Ancestors" has Catherine Clouse, which indicates she may have been previoulsy married. Elizabith Lowenguth died on 26 Aug 1856 in Holmes Co., OH. Jacob Conrad and Elizabith Lowenguth had the following children:

child4 iii. Frederick Conrad was born on 7 Aug 1840 in Washington Twp. Holmes Co, OH. He died about 1865 in New Orleans,LA. Died while serving in the Civil War

child6 v. (son A) Conrad died in (died in Civil War). He was buried in Chattanooga, TN. He was never married.

He was married to Elisabeth Dorothea Cathrine Clein (daughter of William Frederick Klein) on 26 Dec 1856 in prob Washington Twp. Holmes Co, OH. (4)(6) Elisabeth Dorothea Cathrine Clein(7) Photo was born on 12 Oct 1828 in Nellingen, County (Oberamt) Esslingen, Kingdom of Wurtemberg (Prussia?). (4)(8) Elisabeth Klein arrived with her father,on the shores of America on the 26th day of August 1848 She was christened in 1842 in Evangelical Lutheran Church. (4) She died on 6 Apr 1905. She died in the home of her daughter Minnie (Conrad) Heffelfinger. She was buried on 8 Apr 1905 in Loudonville Cemetery, Loudonville, OH. .
