Indenture 24th day of Mar 1803 between Isaac Howey, Township of Woolwich, County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey carpenter and Abigail his wife of the one part and William Mulford of the same place, yeoman, of the other part. Whereas Robert Howey Sen. late of the county aforesaid deceased, by his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the 15th day of March Anno Domini 1792 did therein among other things give and devise unto his two sons Isaac Howey and Robert Howey twenty five acres of Land and premise unto each of their Heirs and Assigns - And Whereas Robert Howey Jun. And Naomi his wife by one deed of Indenture date the third day of September A. Dom. 1797 did therein grant and convey unto Isaac Howey aforesaid his Heirs and assigns in fee simple, all the before mentioned twenty five acres of land and premises left unto him by his Father aforesaid being situated in the Township of Woolwich and County and State aforesaid. Adjoining unto the Southwesterly side of said Isaac Howeys other twenty five acres reference being had to said recited will and deed may more fully appease(?). Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Isaac Howey and Abigail his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of One thousand pounds current specie Money of the State aforesaid to him the said Isaac Howey in hand well and truly paid by the said William Mulford at or before the ensealing and delivery hereof…..convey to William Mulford and to his heirs and assigns forever All them two described tracts of Land and premises containing Fifty Acres in them both the out lines…..Beginning at the stone corner to William Holmes Land…..to a stone corner of John Howeys Land….to a corner of James Webb Lot at the Head of his Mill pond. Signed and sealed Isaac Howey and Abigail Howey. Sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel L. James, Nathan Bassett. Sworn by Isaac and Abigail on 26 Mar 1803 in Salem County before James James, one of the Judges of the Inferior Court of Common Pleas in and of the County of Salem. Received July 29 1803.
