Blackcastle, p 99: "He had formerly been in the ship Juno and was one of the few survivors when that ship was wrecked in 1795 on the Coast of Arracan. Of this shipwreck he wrote an affecting narrative, from which it appears that out of 72 persons on board, only eight survived the misery of living three weeks on the wreck, without food or fresh water except what they sucked from the rain falling on their clothes."
