The first mention of the Steamer CHARLES BROWN by JW in his journal is on August 10, 1900 when she docks.  She leaves the Elizabeth Marine Ways on November 17, 1900 with a new hull.  On May 24, 1913 a long list of repairs made are recorded.  The final entry is on May 18, 1914.  There are additional entries which can be located using the search engine on the Home Page.
