Notes
The 1880 census entry for John Beutel has a daughter Carrie, age 10. In 1900, he has a daughter Carrie A. Phipps, born in June 1875. Other records for Carrie Phipps also have 1874-5 as her birth year. I assume that the 1880 and 1900 Carrie's are the same person, but I can't explain the difference in the reported ages.
