Notes
William O. Simpson's death certificate identifies his parents as Byron and Almira Simpson but I have been unable to find a Byron Simpson who is a good candidate for William's father. The best candiate I've found is Bailis Simpson, who married Almira Kidney, was living in Ross County (where William is said to have been born) in 1870, and had a son named William who was born c1867. I assume that "Byron" on the death certificate was either a nic-name or was written in error.
