Arthur La Mora1

M, b. circa 1888
Arthur La Mora was born circa 1888 at RI.1 Blanche LaMora indicated that her father's (Arthur) was really Lamareaux, but that he shortened it to LaMora (or Lamora)when they came to Broome Co. from St. Louis. In the 1920 Census, Arthur appears and claims to have been born in Rhode Island. The 1910 census however does not have any LaMora or Lamareaux entries in the index living in Missouri. There is an Arthur G. Lamareaux living in Rhode Island, age 25 who claims to have been born in Canada with French as his primary language. He was married to a a woman named Rose of the same age. It would appear that the 1920 entry for Hermoine is either incorrect (age 23) or Arthur was married prior to marrying Hermoine.2 He married Hermoine O. Woodward circa 1912 at MO.1
