• John and Jessie's marriage is also recorded at Urquhart and Logie Wester on the 1st December 1832, by the Reverend Jo Macdonald of that church, who performed the ceremony at Contin.

The church at Urquhart and Logie Wester, in those days, was the centre of a large farming area, and was surrounded by a large churchyard cemetery. Today the church is a ruin, though many of the headstones are still standing, while adjacent is the lone building of Urquhart Farm.
