WEYMOUTH, Robert, mariner, fisherman, Kittery 1652, had grants in 1653 (by James Emery's) and 1656. Adm. br. William's est. 1654. He m. Rebecca Emery. R. W. and some others of his company dying intest., by ct. order 24 Dec. 1661 Jaj. Shapleigh was to administer. Inventory 1662, �60.6s., with 5s. in hands of Laymotte. James Emery tood adm. 7 July 1663. Widow Rebecca m. 2d Thomas Sadler, 3d in R.I. Daniel Eaton. No certain ch. appears, altho William Sadler and Joseph Amory of R.I. were cert. Rebecca's ch. That the latter was b. a Weymouth and used the fam. name of a gr.fa. who brot him up, is not imposs. [ref 22]

Robert Weymouth, or Waymouth, is said to have come from Dartmouth, England: He signed the submission of 1652. Had grants in 1652 and 1656. Administered the estate of his brother William in 1654. [ref 33:794]

The petn. made in her name for her late husband's prop. on Staten Isl., N.Y., 22 May 1676, represents that he had yrs. bef. aband. her and their three samll children. Of her ch. we know only: William (Weymouth), called Weymouth alias Sadler in Maine rec. 1682. Joseph (Amory), presumably an anack. ch. Anthony (Sadler), made his grf.
