May 1803 Lieut Wells apptd to the armed cutter Rose.
25 Jun 1803 Hydra, in company with the hired cutter Rose captured the French privateer Phoebe, 4 guns, 2 swivels, and 33 men, off Cherbourg from which she'd departed 7 days earlier, prior to detaining the Diana of London ; the brig William of Sunderland ; and the brig Egyptian of Waterford, in ballast, all of which were re-captured by the Starling, and are now arrived at Portsmouth.
6 Oct 1803 arrived Spithead and appointed to take a convoy to the Downs.
21 Nov 1803 arrived Spithead from Guernsey with dispatches.
Circa 7 Jan 1804 Lieut Mason, apptd to the Rose cutter.
Circa 11 Aug 1804 Lieut Talbot apptd to the Rose cutter.
14 Aug 1804 departed Spithead on a cruise, the Rose, Lieut Talbot.
18 Sep 1804 departed Spithead with Gen Broderick, for Guernsey.
Oct 1804 name changed from Rose to Beaumont
