25 Jan Henry Carroll was born in Newcastle Emlyn to Martha and Edward Carroll, son of John.
1 Apr P.C. Michael Edward Carroll, son of John, was promoted to the 2nd Division of 1st Class Constables in the Pembrokeshire County Constabulary.

7 Apr Edward Carroll, son of John, and his wife, Martha, were living in Woodbine Cottage, High Street, Fishguard with their children, William, Ann and Henry, and the children of Edward�s first marriage, Edwin and Ellen.
7 Apr Michael Edward Carroll, son of John, and his wife, Martha Maria, were living in the High Street, Kilgerran. Michael was an acting Sergeant of Police.
7 Apr John Carroll, son of Edward son of John, was living at Lan Farm near the hamlet of Gellyddu in the Parish of Llangendeirne, Carmarthenshire with a maternal uncle and aunt and his maternal grandparents.
15 Oct P.C. Edward Carroll, son of John, left Fishguard Police Station at 8:30 a.m. and travelled to his new station in Haverfordwest, arriving at the Chief Constable�s Office at about 11:30 a.m.

16 Nov P.C. Edward Carroll, son of John, along with P.C. Rees, No. 30, went to serve a warrant for �bastardy� on John Evans of St. Thomas�s Green, Haverfordwest but failed to find him: he was supposed to have left town.

27 Dec P.C. Edward Carroll, son of John, went out to Dairy Park near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire to investigate the theft of some boards from a stable loft, but was unable find out who the culprit was.
