Jacob was born at
Hawkins Co., Tennessee, on 28 January 1809. He was the son of
John Loughmiller and
Jane (?). He married
Aurelia Overton at
Washington Co., Indiana, on 12 August 1837. Jacob Loughmiller was census 1840 in 1840 at
Floyd Co., Indiana. He was census 1850 - free in 1850 at
Floyd Co., Indiana. He was migration before 1856 at
Kansas; By 1856, Jacob had moved to Kansas, where he is listed as having cast a ballot for the convention to form a Constitution for the State of Kansas, 16th District, Easton Precinct. He was election at
Jackson Co., Kansas; Jacob Loughmiller was elected to the Kansas State Legislature. He was census 1870 in 1870 at
Jackson Co., Kansas. Jacob died on 8 December 1877 at age 68. His body was interred in December 1877 at
Avoca, Jackson Co., Kansas, at Kroth Cemetery.
