On 16 Sep 1886, he married Ora Etta Walters in Paulding County, Ohio. She is the daughter of John H. Walters and Matilda A. Baker. (The son of Ora's brother, Kearney, married Solomon's grand niece, Treva Adams.) Ora was born 5 Oct 1867 in Clinton county, Indiana. She died 15 Apr 1953 at age 85 in Grover Hill, Paulding, Ohio. On 18 Apr 1953, she was buried at Middle Creek Cemetery, Washington twp., Paulding, Ohio.
