HOMER H. "DICK" ADAMS, 81, died Monday at Convoy Care Center. Born in Van Wert County, he formerly owned and operated Adams Grocery Store in Wetzel and also worked as a TV repairman at Wortman Bros. Construction in Van Wert. He was a World War II Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Irene E.; three daughters, Rosanne Shumaker of Paulding, Cheryl Bowen of Ohio City and Tania Kreischer of Van Wert; two brothers, Billy and Lewis "Ned," both of Grover Hill; two sisters, Marie Adam of Fort Jennings and Leta Miller of Middle Point; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard. Services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Calling from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with Disabled American Veterans memorial services at 7:45 p.m. by Van Wert County chapter. Burial in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill, with graveside military services by Grover Hill VFW. Condolences to [email protected] .
