MARY ELIZABETH BRANDT

MARY ELIZABETH BRANDT, 92, died Friday, May 12, 2006, at Parkview Hospital. Born Aug. 16, 1913, in Chicago, Ill., she was a graduate of Warner Beauty College and was a Fort Wayne resident most of her life. She retired as a Draperier at G.C. Murphy & Co. after 21 years and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Genevra (Al) Dornbush of Avilla; son, Harold James (Pat) Brandt of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jane (Stan) Silver of Rome City, Richard (Shelley) Dornbush of Coronna, Calif., Robert A. (Cindy) Dornbush Jr. of Fremont, Dennis (Amy) Brandt and Thomas James (Tammy) Brandt, both of Fort Wayne, Debra (James) Klophenstein of Vera Cruz, Bruce (Kathie) Whitmore of Fort Wayne and AuSun (Jerry) Brock of Churubusco; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, David and Joseph Brandt. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, where friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorials are Calvary United Methodist Church or Riverbend Healthcare Center.
