He was said to have been “of Harrietsham and Ulcombe, yeoman, the testator of 1634, was baptized at Harrietsham 28 Dec. 1562, and died between 3 Dec. 1634 and 16 Jan. following. He married Ann ____, who survived him and was executrix of his will. He lived at Harrietsham (where he was a churchwarden in 1609) until after 1617, but at the time of making his will he was of Ulcombe.”492

“Various clues imply that the father of Elizabeth, the wife of Edward Sturges, was residing in Watertown both before and after her marriage. Examination of Watertown families for an unplaced Elizabeth born about 1620 might lead to her identification.” 419
