Will of Henry Brown, Greer, SC
I, William Henry Brown, of Greer, SC, R.F.D. #3, County of Greenville, State of South Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament, to wit: 1st I acknowledge God. 2nd. All my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid in full, 3rd. I desire that my wife, Hettie E. Brown, my daughter Erlene, and my mother if she still lives, to have the use of the home until Erlene becomes 21 years old, or married. Then sold and divided as I shall hereafter mention. My wife to share equal with a childs part. I will that Grover, my son, have twenty five dollars more than the others. My sons Earle, Edwin, Fred, and my daughters Noette Owens, and Erlene Brown, share equally. My son J.W. to have one hundred dollars less than others for his treatment of me. My son Dewitt to have fifty dollars less than those that get full amount for leaving home before being free. My son Hoyt to have fifty dollars less than those that share in full for ______________ and his treatment of me. 4th. All my personal property to be sold when my daughter Erlene becomes 21 years old or marries, and proceeds divided ________ proceeds of Real Estate. 5th. I nominate and appoint my sons Grover and Edwin executors of my last will and testament, hereby breaking all former wills by me. 6th. My Woodman Policy to be paid all my children as policy calls for. 7th. The Federal Land Bank of Columbia, SC holds mortgage on my real estate, it can be paid out like I have been paying.......

William married Susan Zipporah Hudson, daughter of Luther Irving Hudson and Sophia Jane Taylor. (Susan Zipporah Hudson was born on 6 Oct 1866 in Greenville, SC, died on 27 Feb 1918 in Greenville, SC and was buried in Fairview Bapt Ch, Greer, SC.)
