DEATH OF MR. WELLS.
The death of Mr. G. A. Wells, which occurred at his home in this city Friday, records the passing away of another valued and esteemed citizen, and the sad reflection that "man cometh up as a flower and soon passeth away." Mr. Wells' illness had extended over a year resulting from a painful accident of a broken limb which gave him great suffering and almost helplessness. Complications from ill health followed. The untiring care of his devoted wife soothed and brightened the long months of illness. Mr. Wells was a good and upright citizen. His death is greatly deplored. To the bereaved wife and sister the deepest sympathy is extended. Funeral services were held at his home on Travis street Saturday at 3:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. Luke White of St. Mark's church. Interment at Oakland cemetery.
