The couple Rasche - Fulst saw die before them: Ernst their son and heir, who died as prisoner of war in France in 1916: Their three Leiste grandchildren: Their son-in-law H. Bossen-Rasche, who returned from the war severely wounded and died, and his wife, who was their daughter Anna. Surviving were their children; little Anne and Heine. This boy and his Grandfather managed the farm. When "The Big One" died in 1933 the Preacher said: "He was a cross bearer." When the young Heine was 18 years old his Grandmother died. Marie Leiste was the heiress of the farm. At that time there was a law of descent, in regard to farms, and it was her wish that the farm should remain a Rasche Farm. Then came the War. Heine was married to Herta Stagge. There was one child, a daughter. Herta was not the right one for him. Heine died in
service in 1945, which broke his Aunt Marie Leiste's heart. Marie Leiste died in 1946 and her Husband in 1947.
The Rasche Farm was divided between Herta and little Anna. The latter lives in the Leiste Hause. Her husband never returned from Russia, and she remarried a long time ago. Herta had remarried. Strangers live on the Rasche Farm. Strange children grow up there. Yet when one steps through the yard gate everything is as usual; the barns, the granaries; in the vestibule, as always, hangs the previous, year's harvest wreath. In the living room the roe antlers which the individual farmers, themselves had felled, and in the little room, the age?old oak, corner cupboard, which perhaps dates ' back to "Einnehmers" times. Only the leather sofa with the white buttons one looks for in vain. It possibly was gnawed or eaten by vermin. Yet young Heine, the last of the line of Rasche Farmers, the last Reihemann, looks down in a friendly way out of his frame, upon the inhabitants of the little room.
And yet, no, life continues -- the line continues for: "The Name is SCHALL AND RAUCH."Heine married Living

Hans-Werner. (Note: Ernst was captured by the Americans during World War 11, and
brought to the United States. He was a prisoner of war in Camp Joseph T. Robinson in
Arkansas. Repatriated before I learned about it. Remained in England and married a
British girl, Ileen. Through his own efforts he has acquired quite a bit of property. His
present address is: Ernst Luettge, 3, Nort?Str?I Ossbournby, Sleaford, Lines, Great Britain.
