Note |
|
The Register article lists two sons named John for John Norton Sr, the first a son of Dorothy, who was born in 1651 and died January 15, 1657 and the other who was born in October 1657. Families of Early Guilford, along with two other family history sources I have seen, give only one John, born 1651 and Married to Ruth Moore. They give a son named Felix born on that 1657 date and died January 15, 1657/8. This makes a difference as to which wife was the mother of John Jr. I'm accepting the Register version because it matches the Barbour collection. Barbour gives no son Felix and does list the second John. I need more information about where the name Felix came from.1,3,4 |
