- No indication of what happened to the
lot in New Bern
- received 300 acres in 1735 where he
lived on Core Creek &endash; what happened to that land
&endash; it appears he may have lived closer to where
Core Creek went into the Neuse than we had thought.
- in 1738 he received 300 acres on the
Neuse River &endash; one assumes on Core Creek &endash;
he had a ferry and then sold in 1742 190 of those acres
to John Irons including the part with the ferry. Several
months after receiving this land, he deeded land to his
son Jacob &endash; we need to determine what happened to
that land. In 1753 according to the deed, 185 acres of
the 1738 patent was sold by Abraham. Which Abraham
&endash; it is assumed Abraham Sr died in 1752 when his
will was probated according to the Court Records. Could
this have been Araham Jr or were the court records
slightly off? Maybe the deeds of Michael Becton could
shed some light on this.
