He was medical director of the southeast district of the State Department of Health in West Reading.
He received his B.S. from Ursinus College in 1944 and his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1948.
Pearson received the Outstanding Disabled State Employee Award in 1983.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John Z. and Annie (Christine) Pearson.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Easton.
He was a lieutenant commander in the Navy during World War II.

Edwin W. Warfield, 76, of Breinigsville, formerly of 2124 Glendale Ave., Bethlehem, died Wednesday, April 12, in the home of his daughter, Bonnie L., wife of Dr. Jack M. Treadway of Kutztown. He was the husband of Mildred B. (Frankenfield) Warfield. They were married for 58 years last May.
Warfield was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Philippines and Japan. He was a prisoner of war for over three years, and a survivor of the Bataan Death March on the southern peninsula of Luzon, Philippine Islands.He was a member of the Ex-Prisoners of War, and the American Defenders of Bataan and Cregidor.
He was a meat cutter for the former Pantry Pride Food Store, Allentown, for 37 years before retiring in 1975.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harper and Gertrude (Kleckner) Warfield.
He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown.
He was a former chairman of the board and a life member of the Izaak Walton Rod and Gun Club, a life member of the Guthsville Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Pioneer Fire Company, Allentown, and the Allentown Fireman's Relief Association.
He was also a member of the Mountainville Senior Bowling League, 1979 to the present, and the Rosebowl 55 and Over League since 1995.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, and served as past president of its council.
He was a founder of the Fountain Hill Emergency Squad and Fire Department and served as vice president of the emergency squad. He was a coach for the Fountain Hill Little League from 1957-74. He was past president of the Frankenfield family reunion for many years.

He was owner of the former Wenhold Texaco Station, Perkasie, for 25 years, retiring in 1973. After retiring, he worked in the sales department of H.W. Kuhn, Telford, and Blooming Glen Pork Products.
Born in Perkasie, he was a son of the late Elmer B. and Mabel (Christine) Wenhold.
He was a past president of the Perkasie Lions Club.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie.
Wenhold was an Army veteran of World War II.

Ruth P. Wenhold of Perkasie, Pa., died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, in Dock Terrace, Towamencin Township, Pa. She was 85. She was the wife of the late Lester C. Wenhold, who died May 29, 1993. Born in Quakertown, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Freeman C. and Pearl L. (Stover) Baringer. She was a 1938 graduate of Quakertown High School. She was employed by the former Bucks County Bank and Trust Co., Perkasie, for a number of years until retiring. Previously, she worked as the bookkeeper for her husbands service station business at 3rd and Walnut streets, Perkasie. She also had worked for several years for the former Vogue Shop, Perkasie. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie. She was a member of the Womens Club of Perkasie and the Perkasie Historical Society. She had also served as a Girl Scouts Leader for Troop No. 188, Perkasie, for many years. An avid baker and cook, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed knitting and made innumerable baby hats for infants born at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township, Pa.
Survivors: Daughters, Vicki A. Werner of Columbia, Md., Barbara Frederick and her husband Michael G. of Perkasie; grandchildren, Shannon N. Roberts of Ellicott City, Md., Jena R. and John Samuel Rias Jones III, both of Columbia, Md., Stephanie P. Szymanski and her husband George J. of Pennsburg, Pa., Adam M. Frederick and his wife Alice C. of Schwenksville, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Kaya L. Roberts, Michael J. Szymanski. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Harold Baringer.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2006, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Perkasie, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time Friday.
Interment will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie. Arrangements, Bernard Suess Funeral Home Inc., Perkasie.
