His body was interred after 9 AUG 1928 in Upson County, Ga., Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

He married Sarah FALLIN Helms in Upson County, Ga., 4 AUG 1880. Sallie was born in Upson County, Ga. 2 MAR 1860. She was the daughter of Jackson FALLIN and Hulda JONES Fallin. Sallie died 14 APR 1927 in Upson County, Ga., at 67 years of age, according to her obituary.

Her body was interred 26 APR 1927 in Upson County, Ga., Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, by Matthews Helms in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 19 North, according to Stephens Funeral Home records. Death date also given as April 6. She described the old plantation home for Evelyn Self Nelson and noted she taught some of the slaves to sew.

Essie, 22, no occupation, could read and write
