Mabel was born April 1903, the daughter of Gervase Benson JOHNSON and Elizabeth GEORGE

Gervase, born December 1877,  was the son of Jeptha JOHNSON and Naomi POOLE.

Jeptha JOHNSON was killed in the Risca New Pit Explosion of 1880 when his son was two and a half years old

We have been told that if your ancestors come from Risca and have JOHNSON blood then they are related to everyone in Risca before 1914
